My Daughters Birthday
19 years ago today God blessed me with a precious little girl and now 19 years later I can say she is still my precious little girl. Having a child is blessing but it comes with trials and tribulations. I remember when I was a teenager and me and my friends would talk about how many kids we would want and what their names would be and all I can remember is saying I just want one child and I want a girl. Who would have known that’s exactly what my life would end up to be.
Since my daughter is in college I am unable to see her for her birthday but we did Facetime each other. It’s not the same as giving her hugs and kisses on her birthday but this is better than nothing. Also due to Covid I did not want to drive 2 hours and only be able to spend time with her outside in the cold weather. Her school is not allowing outside people in the rooms which is understandable.
Typically we would go out to eat and give her presents which I love watching her open but this year I had to mail her everything and Facetime her to see her response. Now I got her something super cool and I wanted her to open it when she Facetimed me but she didn’t and messed up the whole surprise. I don’t know about y’all as parents but I like to record and take pictures of things like that. So yeah I was a little upset but coming to find out she didn’t react the way I thought she would. Or at least how I would have reacted. I love celebrating birthdays and making memorable moments. Hey, I only have one child, what do you expect!! Wouldn’t you?
