I can’t believe fall is finally here. Fall is one of my favorite seasons. It’s something about that crisp fall breeze and the leaves turning colors and falling off the trees. Wearing a big sweatshirt and some knee boots are the best. Taking fall pictures are best. I love, love, love taking fall pictures with my daughter. Now that she is in college fall pictures are not going to happen until she comes home for break. My idea of great fall pictures is finding a beautiful tree or nice bed of water like a lake or creek and just shooting your camera. Sometimes the best pictures turn out when you least expect it.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because I love to dress up with my daughter. Now we wouldn’t match our costumes because that would not be cool at all. Instead Niyah would go out with her friends while me and the dog get dressed up and give out candy. My husband is not a fan of dressing up for Halloween so most of the time he is watching some form of sport on tv. I love dressing up because it shows Niyah that I can still have fun and enjoy the holidays like I have when she was younger. Just because I am getting older doesn’t mean that I have to stop having Halloween fun. Hell if I could have a Halloween party every year I would. Some parents might not think there is any joy in dressing up but to me it’s all about what your child thinks. Personally I say do whatever is going to put a smile on your child’s face. Once you see that their having fun, that will make you want to have fun too.
